The external drive incorporates the fifth generation of IBM Linear Tape-Open (LTO) technology in a half height form factor. This external stand-alone or rack-mountable unit is the entry point for the family of IBM Ultrium tape products. It is designed to provide greater capacity and improved data transfer rate with the capability of data encryption and media partitioning, and a 6 Gbps SAS interface connection.
